Yorkville EXM Mobile 8 Three-Way Battery Powered Speaker
Yorkville Sound continues to innovate the battery powered format with the EXM Mobile 8, a wedged, lightweight 3-way battery powered speaker with Bluetooth technology.
Yorkville Sound was an early leader of the battery powered PA concept with the EXM Mobile (2017), followed by the EXM Mobile 12 (2018). The EXM line immediately became sought-after products by musicians and mobile DJs seeking solutions to provide great sound without the hassles of wires or seeking external power.
The EXM Mobile 8 contains an 8-inch woofer and a coaxial mid-range and tweeter. Dedicated mid-range coaxial drivers allow the 8-inch woofer to work at its fullest capacity.
With a cabinet designed to be displayed flat on a tabletop surface, tilted up vertically, wedged horizontally, or mounted on a standard speaker pole, the EXM Mobile 8 is designed with versatility and everyday use in mind.
The EXM Mobile 8 has three inputs and an internal mixer, positioning the unit as ideal for solo performers, DJs, and small ensembles on the move. Using all channels at max output still allows for many hours of battery performance.
The EXM Mobile 8 can be linked to multiple EXM Mobile units with an XLR cable to run all speakers simultaneously. By using the link feature, all three inputs on each speaker are available to the user and can be summed together.

QSC Expands Surface-Mount Options for AcousticDesign Series Loudspeakers
QSC introduced the AD-S5T, a 5.25ʺ two-way loudspeaker system that offers integrators a premium option for a wide variety of foreground and background sound reinforcement applications where performance, coverage and aesthetics are paramount.
More details from QSC (www.qsc.com):
“We designed the AD-S5T on the same foundation as the rest of the award-winning QSC AcousticDesign Series, which has become a staple in the industry for installations requiring a refined audio experience,” says Travis Nie, Product Manager, Installed Loudspeakers, QSC. “This new 5.25ʺ loudspeaker offers integrators yet another surface-mount option to easily meet the needs of any customer looking to enhance the overall sound and create a memorable experience for their audience.”
The AcousticDesign Series includes a wide variety of sizes and enclosure types (surface-mount, pendant-mount, ceiling-mount, columnar and SUB/SAT) and provides consistent sonic characteristics across the entire line, allowing the ability to mix-and-match enclosures in a single installation. In addition, by utilizing native Q-SYS network amplifiers, including CX-Q Series, or standalone QSC DSP processing amplifiers, integrators can take advantage of Intrinsic Correction, a proprietary voicing algorithm for QSC loudspeakers, which helps to further reduce the setup time and tuning process.
To ease installation, the AD-S5T includes the X-Mount system, which enables the loudspeaker to be aimed and installed at a variety of precise, repeatable angles without slipping over time. It’s available in black (RAL9011) or white (RAL9010) and housed in a rugged ABS enclosure to easily withstand the harshest elements.

Virginia Church Enhances Worship Audio with Danley Loudspeaker System
BRIDGEWATER, VA – Bridgewater Church of the Brethren turned to RTW Media for an audio upgrade. The new Danley Sound Labs system has taken audio quality from “two out of ten to ten out of ten.”
More details from Danley Sound Labs (www.danleysoundlabs.com):
The deep history of Bridgewater Church of the Brethren in Bridgewater, Virginia stretches back into the late 1700s. Centuries of branching and growth led to the construction of the church’s current sanctuary in 1998. The fan-shaped room seats approximately five hundred people and is open, inviting, and beautifully appointed. However, its existing sound reinforcement system was broken and behind the times. RTW replaced the previous system with a state-of-the-art Danley Sound Labs point source sound reinforcement system.
“Bridgewater Church of the Brethren has a stunningly beautiful sanctuary with a 65-foot ceiling at its peak,” explained Zack Guida of RTW Media. “They’re very into music and regularly bring notable Christian musicians in for services and concerts. However, their existing loudspeakers were only mid-grade when they went in over twenty years ago. They were flat sounding and threw energy all over the ceiling and walls. One driver was blown completely.”
